Ron Stimmel

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Ron Stimmel has founded and led world-class teams, new ventures, and programs within startups, middle-market, and Fortune 5 environments, with a combined impact of +$5B and millions of tons of avoided carbon emissions.

He began his renewables career in 2006 as a federal lobbyist for the wind energy industry, where he led the successful campaign for a landmark $1B tax law.  While earning his MBA, he launched a clean-energy venture and advised early-stage startups as they prepared to raise venture capital.

Ron then joined Amazon.com as the company’s first energy hire.  Over a decade he built a half-dozen renewables and climate businesses across Amazon, hiring and developing exceptional teams to scale each new venture.  His work included clean power procurement, carbon removal technologies, and Fortune 100 climate collaborations.

He later joined a $3B climate-focused private equity firm as Operating Partner, driving growth and corporate strategy across sectors like chemicals, materials, agriculture, and manufacturing. He embedded with portfolio company C-suites to deploy over $100M in capital, optimize operations, and scale innovation.

Ron volunteers with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and was a charter member of the Harvard Young American Leaders Program to promote shared economic prosperity.  He enjoys stand-up comedy (as a consumer, not producer), DIY home-improvement, road cycling, and his family.  He earned a BA in Government from Georgetown and an MBA from Columbia.
