Leaders in Floating Solar

Noria Energy develops resilient, renewable energy systems and products that generate long-term value for your business or community.

Who We Are

Noria Energy was founded in 2018 with a vision to help customers reduce energy costs through clean energy. We are leaders in floating solar, having developed the largest floating solar photovoltaic system in the US, in Healdsburg, California, when built in 2022, and the largest floating system on a hydroelectric reservoir in the western hemisphere, located in Urra, Colombia.

Key Industries Served

Noria serves a diverse array of industries with tailored floating solar solutions.

Noria Energy is committed to innovating on behalf of our customers and partners.  Our patented flagship product, AquaPhi™, uses advanced but demonstrated technology to allow a floating system to track the sun.  This means:

Up to 17% more energy production
Faster system installation
Simplified operations & maintenance

Development Offerings – A development partner from inception to operation and everything in between

Feasibility Studies

Our feasibility studies provide a complete assessment of the overall technical, environmental, and financial viability of a solar system. We identify key milestones, roadblocks, and risk-mitigation strategies so you have all the information you need to evaluate a potential solar project.

Full Service PPAs

We offer Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) as a way to buy renewable power without upfront capital. An alternative to an equipment purchase or lease, a PPA protects your business from electricity cost uncertainty by locking in a predictable, long-term electricity rate from a solar system designed specifically to meet your needs.

Project Highlights

City of Healdsburg January 2021

4.78MW floating solar project for the City of Healdsburg in Sonoma County, CA. The system satisfies ~8% of the city’s electric needs, reduces harmful algae blooms in the city’s water supply, and improves the quality of recycled water used by local vineyards and farms.

Urrá Hydroelectric facility August 2022

Holding back 1.6 billion cubic meters of water, the Urra hydroelectric dam is one of the largest in Colombia. Noria’s floating solar allowed Urra to meet its energy-diversification goals, as the solar system’s output is a natural complement to hydropower production.  The system is the first of its kind in the country.
